Cycling tip

Discover the city of sand and glass by bike. This route starts at the warmest place in Flanders, the Lommel Sahara, and then meanders further between nature and culture. All the way to GlazenHuis. In short, variety comes up trumps!

Trek through a mini desert with crystal blue lakes before reaching the Blauwe Kei. From this special slice of nature, the Beverlo canal leads you on to Limburg’s second biggest cycling experience: ‘Fietsen door de Bomen’ (Cycling through the trees). Sprint up into the canopy, literally 10 meters above ground on a double loop.

Fly through the Bosland woods and then cycle between the endless rows of graves of the German Military Cemetery. One final spot of silence before the bustling city centre. Why not take a break to catch your breath at one of those cosy terraces or visit the glassblowers in GlazenHuis.
