Den Tip Arboretum

Den Tip with its arboretum, rosary and fruit orchard is a botanical treasure trove in Lommel Kerkhoven. This 8.5 ha nature reserve is the life’s work of Gène and Lieske Wellens and plant collector Joz Van Winckel. Den Tip offers varied scenery, with the Beverlo canal in the background.

  • Starting point and parking: Kanaalstraat (no number), Lommel. Parking is available at Heidegalm reception hall.
  • Public transport: Line 58 Beringen – Lommel, bus stop Kerkhoven – Sint-Jansstraat

 

Accessibility

The hiking loops are not wheelchair friendly. In dry weather, they are easy to do with a sturdy children’s pushchair
