De Barrier Heritage House

Are you interested in Lommel’s heritage? Dive into a series of books and magazines, browse through photo albums and discover old maps and prayer cards at De Barrier Heritage House.

Back in the 18th century, a tenant lived here who collected tolls, gave travellers a bed for the night and stabled horses. Today, ‘De Barrier’ is dedicated to the region’s history. Erfgoed Lommel vzw studies the past in all its richness and invites you to do the same: for Lommel locals, this is the place to research your family tree in detail!
