This exceptional nature reserve lies on the border between Belgium and The Netherlands. Only a small part is accessible for the public. A unique fauna and flora has developed in this nature area. But real nature lovers and active walkers can join the monthly tours guided by qualified and experienced nature guides. In the small museum the ‘Het Wateringhuis’ the history of the development and the value of nature in this area are exhibited  in an educational way.

In this splendid nature reserve, guided walking tours are organised on every first Sunday of the month. The walks are professionally guided by nature guides of 'Natuurpunt Noord-Limburg'. This nature protection organisation also controls the restored authentic parcels of sewage pastures in the 'Watering'. People who wish to take part in such guided tour meer at 1.45 p.m. at the 'Wateringshuis' or at 2 p.m. at the end of Koloniestraat. The tours are free of charge.
